To our many friends around the world:
Today is a very special day for the team at the Robert Paisola Innocence Project. For today we are able to take you very close and inside to quickly present to you one of our many valued supporters who has just passed. The gentleman we are going to introduce you choose to remain behind the scenes, but was the voice of change of many. As many of you know, we and our many connections around the nation were able to do the impossible when we were able to secure a release a wrongfully imprisoned man from The Ohio Department of Corrections Harry Blausey. His story gained national attention as we made sure that America was able to see, read and understand his story that erroneously put him in jail.
This feat was covered by A&E Television and Blausey was let out of prison by the Honorable Tom Marcelain in Newark Ohio of Licking County.
Last night our staff in India called to tell us that there was something very serious going on with our servers, and that we needed to look deeper into the Blausey Case.
Within minutes we learned that Mr Paul Blausey, A staunch supporter of freedom of the press, the catalyst for change (with the entire Blausey Family),and simply a man who demanded justice no matter the cost, time or effort that was required..... had passed away in Genoa Ohio. We want to thank Mr. Blausey for the work that he did to support prisoners rights and the time and effort that our Foundation.
In recognition of Mr. Paul Blausey's Contribution to this Innocence Project and his personal efforts to bring humanity to an inhumane system, we present this lasting memorial that will be posted around the globe.

GENOA: Channel 11's favorite local farmer and K-100's biggest Lorrie Morgan fan dies.
Paul W. Blausey of Genoa, Ohio, a lifetime farmer, "arrived home peacefully," Wednesday, May 30, 2012, fighting the toughest battle he ever fought. He celebrated his 75th birthday, May 6th, receiving a priceless gift of 75+ years of memories written by his family and friends. He even received a phone call from country music singer, Lorrie Morgan.
Paul was born in Elmore, Ohio, to Wilson H. and E. Pauline (Bothe) Blausey. He celebrated 52 years of marriage with his soul mate, Sandy, whom he married January 1, 1960, in Delta, Ohio. Sandy farmed right alongside him; and together they traveled and being big fans of country music, attended more than 150 Lorrie Morgan concerts. He also enjoyed dining out with family and friends.
Paul over the years supported his community with philanthropic contributions. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Genoa and served on the boards of many local organizations; most recently FSA (Farm Service Agency), Otterbein-Portage Valley, and the FFA Alumni. In 2011 he received the Honorary State FFA Degree. For several years he was the president of the Fremont Pickle & Tomato Growers Association.
Paul always offered to help others and wanted to make a difference wherever he could, especially in the preservation of the land.
In addition to his wife, Sandy, Paul is survived by his daughters; Lisa L. (Rich) Gargas and Susan L. Beyer, both of Genoa, grandchildren; Chad, Ryan, Erika and Erin, and siblings, Harry (Bev) Blausey of Newark, Jane (Tom) Milbrodt of Bowling Green, and Carol (Sam) Bolander of Martin. His parents preceded him in death. He is also by Diane Blausey (Ringheiser) and her family
Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2012, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012, in St. John's United Church of Christ, 1213 Washington St., Genoa, with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery.
